With 2024, a very turbulent year for AirlineSim, the company and myself comes to an end. As such, I want to take a very brief look at what has happened this year and what lies ahead in the first months of 2025. But before I go into that, an important public service announcement: From today until the 26th of December, credits will be 15% off. So now's a good time to get that credit balance in order for the holidays!

Back in April 2014, so more than 10 years ago, Quimby launched our first experiment with temporary game worlds. And today, it restarts for the 15th time. So it sure seems like the experiment tuned out to be rather successful!

If you are following our weekly development log, you might have read that simulogics, the company behind AirlineSim, will be moving to a new location soon. While - or rather: because - this is mostly a matter of paperwork, we wanted to use this opportunity to switch out a payment provider that we've become increasingly unhappy with recently. This way, all the fun bureaucracy of anti-money laundering documentation is only required once, especially because all the new and adjusted integrations are done through the same payment processor we're already employing for credit card payments.

As you might know, AirlineSim is primarily run by two people at the moment: Lena answers your support questions and takes care of things like logo screening and in-game reports while yours truly does all the development and technical communication (including a weekly development log, just in case you missed it).
